Q.1 Why should I register?

A.1 Having made a professional Will, failure to locate it at the appropriate time may result in your estate being distributed according to the laws of intestacy.

Q.2 Are Wills really lost?

A.2 Yes a surprising number of wills are lost within the UK each year. Additionally your family or loved ones may be unaware of who holds the Will or even if a Will exists. 

Q.3 What happens if I change my Will

A.3 The United Kingdom Professional Will Registry does not hold details of the contents of your Will. Should the place where you keep your Will change, please contact your Professional Registered Practitioner.

Q.4 Who will have access to the information and will my details be passed on to other companies?

A.4 The United Kingdom Professional Will Registry will not share your information with any other company and holds such information in the strictest of confidence. We will only e-mail the location of your Will to individuals who have completed a search and confirmed that they have a legal right to access the information. Please see privacy issues.

Q.5 How can I be sure my details have been registered?

A.5 The United Kingdom Professional Will Registry will only issue registration certificates to Professional Registered Practitioners, which will provide you with your unique registration number.
