A The information we collect and how we use it

1. When a professional registers for the service we need to know your business name, a contact name, postal address, e-mail address, telephone number, professional body registration number, professional body, the date of establishment of your business

2.  When an enquirer registers to use the service we need to know your name and e-mail address.

3.  If an enquirer decides to access the information we hold relating to the whereabouts of a Will we will also need to know the full name, national insurance number, date of birth, the post code of the last address of the individual whose will you are endeavouring to locate. Should we hold details of the whereabouts of that will, we will also require the date of death of that individual.  Should an enquirer decide to pay a fee to obtain that information because the use of the service by the professional that used the service to store that information is suspended, then we will also need the enquirer’s credit card number, commencement date, expiry date and the address to which the credit card is registered.

4.  We gather this information to allow us to in the case of the professional to  process your registration, and in the case of an enquirer to allow you to use the service and to provide the results of any search you carry out to you. The relevant information is also used by us, to communicate with you on any matter relating to your use of the service  in general.

5.  We may also use aggregate information and statistics for the purposes of monitoring website usage in order to help us develop the website and our services and may provide such aggregate information to third parties. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

6.  From time to time we may provide your information to our customer service agencies for research and analysis purposes so that we can monitor and improve the services. We or our agents and sub-contractors may contact you e-mail to ask you for your feedback and comments on our service.

We may also wish to provide you with information about special features of our website or any other service or products we think may be of interest to you.

7.  We may sell, trade or rent your e-mail contact address to third parties.


B Our use of cookies and other information gathering technologies

If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website, so that you may be aware of the information we collect and how we use it at all times.
